The ULTIMATE Egg Decorating Contest
So it’s time for the Ultimate Easter Egg Decorating Contest! This friendly competition is sure to create some great memories. Choose plenty of categories so everyone gets a chance to win. It’s the perfect decoration for a the up-coming holiday! Easter is a time to bring out all the fun and games.

How to throw an Easter Egg Decorating contest?
The first step is the most important step of all.
When you send out your party invites you need to print in BIG bold letters…
“ULTIMATE EGG DECORATING CONTEST”
On your invite, ask them to bring their own boiled egg(s) to decorate! Be sure to also tell your guests if they will need to bring any craft supplies with them and if so what you would like them to bring. The best part about this contest is that there are no rules to follow and your guests can decorate their eggs anyway that they want to, with or without actually dying their eggs!
Note: if you want some really awesome entries you can tell your guests that they may bring their egg pre-decorated. Give them some time to really doll it up!
As a judge you will need to determine what categories you will be awarding prizes for and how many prizes you will need. This may be something you want to also publish on the invitation.

The wackier the categories, the more fun you’ll have decorating and judging.
As your guests arrive with their eggs and any craft supplies be sure to have a place step up for them to be put. The more craft supplies the more creative your guests will be able to be! When you are ready to decorate you may want to tell your guests that you will be awarding prizes for several different categories and what the categories will be (as seen above).
Tell them that they are no rules for them to follow but the more original they can decorate their egg the better their chances of winning a prize. Also let your guests know how long they have to decorate their eggs. You should give your guests at least 30 minutes, if not more time, so that they don’t feel rushed and have time to decorate their egg(s) the way they really want! As the timer runs out you will want to give your guests warnings so they are aware of how much time they have left to complete their egg. It is recommended to give them a warning at the half time mark and then again at the 15 and 5 minute mark.
