Shell Toss rules
After searching for shells the kids might find they have a few shells that won’t be taken home. Instead of throwing them back to te water, consider playing Shell Toss.
Draw a big circle in the sand with smaller circles inside, stand about ten feet back, and toss a recently-found sea shell in. Whoever throws the shell directly in the circle in the middle, wins.
And if nobody does, then whoever gets the closest is the winner of the game.
Similar to the game Sans Dart, this is a perfect game for kids who wants to do something more with the shells, but since shells are different sizes and shapes, it will a challenge to win.
Variations
For added fun consider drawing in the sand a Skee-Ball type game. With different rings offering different point value, the kids could throw two or three shells and then the person with the best accumulated score would win.
