How to play the Hidden Cake Scavenger hunt?

This is a sweet twist to the classic treasure hunt game. You are going to bake a cake, but the ingredients and the utensils are hidden all around the house. Each player or team is given the name of one ingredient or utensil they have to find. When all the items are found and brought to the work table, you can start making the cake.
You can have the children find the ingredients and utensils in other ways:

give the children a list (or pictures for children who can’t read) of what to find and let them search freely in a defined search area.
give clues in the form of riddles that the children must solve to find the location of an ingredient before moving on to the next clue and so on.
Create a map of the play area and make crosses at each ingredient or utensil location. The children will have to find their way around the map.

It is a good way for kids to learn what it takes to make a cake.
