How to play the Toss n’ Run game?

Each child will have a number. They need to remember their number or have a sticker on their clothing to remind them of their number. Everyone stands in a circle. The birthday child gets in the middle and throws the ball straight up into the air. He calls out a number right when he lets go of the ball and runs away. Everyone else runs as well, except the child with that number who tries to catch the ball.

If that child misses the ball, then everyone keeps running and he throws it back into the air and yells out another number. Then the child with that number has to try to catch the ball. If he catches the ball, he yells “FREEZE!”. Then he yells out a name and tosses it to that person who become the new thrower only if he managed to catch the ball. He stands where he is and throw the ball straight into the air and yell out another number. If he didn’t catch the ball, so he is eliminated. And the game continue and the last child will be the winner.

You can play this game without eliminations but only by counting the points or by giving small forfeits to the children who do not catch the ball when their name is called after a “freeze”.

Make sure, everyone knows the range of numbers used, such as 1-15. Also, everyone should have a chance to be the thrower. Since the game moves quickly, this should not be a problem. This game is fun and can be played as long as you want.
