Christmas stocking guessing game rules

Fill a stocking with small toys and Christmas items, for example, a candy cane, a bell, a small car or a pine cone. Children will take turns touching the stocking and trying to discover what’s inside.

Put your objects (about 5 or 6) in the stocking. Provide a paper and pencil for each child. Children will take turns touching the stocking to discover as many objects as possible that are inside but without looking. They just have to use their hands and feel through it. They will write down the objects they think they have guessed on their sheet of paper. The child who guesses the most objects will win the game.

Choose the objects according to the age of the children by placing simple objects in the stocking that are easier to identify for the younger children.
Put objects such as a pencil, a pine cone, a roll of tape, a small car, a marble, a candy, a candy cane or a lego…

Christmas stocking variations

You can use several Christmas stockings and place 1 toy in each of them. Number each of them from 1 to 10 for example. Prepare a list for each child with the number of each stocking indicated.
The children will have to write on their sheet of paper the object they think is in the stocking corresponding to the number.
To make the game more fun, you can set a time limit: 5 minutes to find out what is in the 10 stockings.
The child with the most correct answers wins.
