How to play Heads Up Seven Up?

Select up to seven kids to be It and then they come forward to the front of the room. The rest of the children go back sitting at their place. There must be as many or more seated children as there are kids being “It” but not less. To start the game, yell out “Heads down, thumbs up!”. Each child remaining in the group must place their head down on the desk or lap and hold one hand in a fist with their thumb sticking up. While the children in the group are unable to see what’s going on, the children who are It must go around and press down the thumb of one child. The challenge is to see who can be the sneakiest. Once all the children who are It have return to the front of the room, yell out “Heads up, seven up!” (or five up…. depending on the number of children in the group). Any child whose thumb was pressed needs to stand up and try to guess who pressed it. If they are right, they get to trade places with the child who was It and the game starts all over. If they are incorrect, they sit back down.

The seated children have to observe carefully the movements of the seven who will try to reach them. Anything you can hear it with your ear. If you are one of the seven who has the mission to achieve, then you will have to behave differently than your usual self. You have to mislead the students so they can’t determine who just touched them. You can easily play the heads up, seven up game with less than Seven if you have a smaller group.
