Sack Race

The sack race is a fun game in which children will have to race by jumping to get the finish line. Indeed, they will have to place their 2 legs in a burlap sack and hold it at the waist. A sack race is a fantastic way for kids to get plenty of outdoor exercise and enjoy being silly! The more people racing, the more fun it is. Have fun with this race in which each contestant jumps ahead while his legs are confined in a sack. Perfect game for an outdoor Kids birthday party.

Sack race rules

The principle is quite simple, easy to set up and very fun for children. Provide big, strong and resistant bags, burlap sack for exemple. (construction site rubble bags cost nothing and will do the job very well). Plan a course or simply a start and finish line. Children place themselves in the burlap sack and hold them with their hands at hip level. Throw the top start! Children must jump to the finish line. The first one to cross the finish line wins the race.

Have fun with this race in which each contestant jumps ahead while his or her legs are confined in a sack. The contribution of game playing to quality education has proven to be immeasurable. Please keep that in mind as you initiate these games and activities at your child’s birthday party – even though they may seem rather simple, they are nevertheless very powerful educational tools.
