How to play Sand Castle Race ?
On wet sand, mark off a start line and a finish line, 4 or 5 meters apart.
At the starting signal, the players make sand pies as fast as possible from the starting line to the finish line.
Be careful, the castles must be aligned and tightly packed. It is forbidden to shift the sand pies to gain ground.
The first child or team to place a sand castle on the finish line or beyond wins.
The advantage of this game is that it can be played by two people. If there are several children, then form two teams. The children will take turns making the pies one after the other.
If the children are older and more numerous, you can organize this game on dry sand. They will have to look for the wet sand at the water’s edge and come back. The children can then race in relays to get the wet sand while others make the castles. Building a winning sand castle will require the combined efforts of each and every team member. This game is a fun way to be quick and focused while working together to achieve success.
